There will be no spectators at this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo. So if you plan to watch make sure it is in a great venue where you really feel like you are celebrating the moment. Fortunately, two-time gold medalist Scottie Pippen is opening his Chicago home to fans on Airbnb so you can watch the Games at a former Olympian’s home.
It’s a steal too, as Pippen’s six-bedroom house retails for $ 92 a night – a nod to the year he and his teammates won the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Fans living in the Chicago residence can watch that moment again through archival footage in the cinema before they tune in to the Tokyo games. Pippen even greets its guests virtually upon arrival.
This is all part of a special, limited-edition bundle available through Airbnb that will be booked on July 22nd at 1:00 p.m. EST. The experience also includes some takeaway loot as guests can grab a few items from Team USA’s 2020 Medal Stand Collection with Nike so they’ll always remember the trip. Also included in the package is a pre-game selection of foods, including fruits and vegetables, steak, and more.
You can also enjoy the spectacular 10,000 square foot home, which has a basketball court with a picture of Pippen’s old Chicago Bulls jersey on the floor. There is a pool outside with a TV nearby so you won’t miss any of the games while you swim laps. Other great amenities include an arcade room and indoor sauna.
There are three overnight stays for one night at Pippen’s home, which are coordinated with the basketball competitions: August 2nd, August 4th and August 6th. If you miss something and are still interested in the property, chances are it will come back to the sale market sooner rather than later – Pippen has been buying it for years, most recently it was listed for two million. His Florida home has been in and out of the market for the past few years, and the NBA star even offered to throw his 55-inch VanDutch yacht into the mix to sweeten the deal.
